The Amaro Montenegro 23° is a renowned Italian liqueur, appreciated for its subtle balance between sweetness and bitterness, and its notes of citrus and aromatic herbs.
Amaro Montenegro is made from a secret recipe unchanged since 1885, which uses more than 40 botanical plants from around the world. The complex production process involves boiling, maceration, and distillation to extract 12 mother essences, which are then skillfully blended.
- Nose: Complex and fresh, with dominant notes of sweet citrus (orange, tangerine), aromatic herbs (marjoram, thyme, oregano) and warm spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg).
- Palate: Delicate and silky, offering a balance between sweet notes and moderate bitterness. It features flavors of candied orange, light vanilla, cherry, and fresh herbs.
- Finish: Long, harmonious, and persistently sweet-bitter, with a return of citrus.
